Mimi Millard is a passionate yoga and meditation instructor new to Capitol Hill. Ever since a fortunate introduction to mindfulness in high school, meditation and yoga have become her source of clarity through the good and bad times. Mimi is a firm believer in the power of meditation as a tool for healing depression, eating disorders, and body image struggles.
Mimi has studied with the Tibetan Buddhist monastery, Namgyal, in Ithaca, NY and has a background in Kadampa Buddhism and Lamrim meditation. She has been practicing yoga for over six years, and has her 200-hour teaching certification with a specialty in Power Vinyasa and Dharma Yoga. Her top priority in leading a yoga or meditation class is to hold a safe and sacred space for any person to experience a deeper connection with their best Self.
Mimi loves the opportunity to bring mindfulness practices to others and is thrilled to be leading the new Jade Meditation Club, open to anyone and everyone! When not practicing yoga, Mimi’s favorite activities include painting, perusing the Smithsonian museums, and working on her urban garden.
