Jade Fitness now offers weekly class with former UFC fighter. 1 on 1 training also available.
Capitol Hill’s Jade Fitness is excited to announce the addition of a new instructor, Mike Easton, who will be bringing his mixed martial arts boot camp class to Capitol Hill.
With a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Mike brings over 20 years of martial arts experience to Jade Fitness. His easy smile and welcoming spirit makes this class perfect for people of all levels of experience.
Mike is a native Washingtonian and is perhaps best known for his stint in the Bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was the reigning Ultimate Warrior Challenge Bantamweight Champion when he joined the UFC in 2011.
“Mike’s boot camp features exercises and workouts used by today’s UFC fighters. You’ll use your muscles in ways no machine or other exercises can duplicate,” said Ellen Heier, one of Jade Fitness’ co-owners.
“Mixed martial arts is a great way to get in shape, increase confidence levels, learn basic punching techniques, and have a lot of fun. I am excited to join the Jade Fitness community,” added Mike.
When not working out, Mike enjoys spending time with his son, coaching football, and following the latest UFC news.
The class is open to everyone regardless of ability or experience and is held every Wednesday from 6:30-7:20pm. Mike is also available for 1-on-1 mixed martial arts training sessions.
